EyeROV Raises ₹10 Crore in Pre-Series A Round Led by Unicorn India Ventures

EyeROV, a leading marine robotics deep-tech startup specializing in underwater domain products and solutions, has successfully raised ₹10 crore ($1.2 million) in a Pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Unicorn India Ventures, further solidifying EyeROV’s position as a pioneer in the underwater robotics industry.

The newly secured funds will be utilized to enhance EyeROV’s geographical reach, particularly in international markets, and to further develop advanced marine robotics products and solutions. The company’s current offerings are set to be augmented as they expand their global footprint, according to a press release.

Founded in 2016 by IIT alumni Johns T Mathai and Kannappa Palaniappan P, EyeROV has made significant strides in the field of marine robotics and AI. The company is recognized for introducing India’s first commercial underwater drones/ROVs and has recently launched an unmanned surface vehicle (USV). These innovations are already making an impact in both the Indian and MENA regions, providing cutting-edge solutions for underwater operations.

In addition to its innovative products, EyeROV boasts unique capabilities in inspecting extensive tunnels and pipelines. The company is also advancing its integration capabilities for specialized payloads, making it a versatile player in the marine robotics field.

Commenting on the successful funding round, Johns T Mathai, CEO of EyeROV, stated, “With this funding, the company will be able to scale up its sales, R&D, and operations much faster. We have developed unique, differentiated solutions for underwater infrastructure inspections that have been successfully validated in the Indian market and are now ready for global expansion.”

EyeROV’s clientele includes prominent names such as Tata, Adani, BPCL, DRDO, and the Indian Coast Guard, further showcasing the trust and credibility the company has built within the industry.
