Yotuh Energy Private Limited, a pioneering cleantech startup specializing in electric refrigeration systems for mid-mile and last-mile cold chain logistics, has successfully secured ₹1.53 crore in funding. This investment round was led by the Campus Angels Network and will play a crucial role in accelerating the company’s mission to revolutionize cold chain logistics.
Incubated at the IIT Madras Incubation Cell, Yotuh Energy has been at the forefront of developing sustainable technologies since its inception in 2022. Founded by IIT Delhi alumni Vivek Mahindrakar, Shaivee Malik, and Dharmik Bapodara, the company focuses on creating innovative electric refrigeration systems that eliminate fuel usage, reduce operational expenses, and drive the industry towards greener practices.
“This funding will significantly enhance our product development, testing, and operations. Our goal is to make cold chain logistics more accessible, affordable, and sustainable, steering us towards a future driven by innovation and advanced technologies in refrigeration systems,” said Dharmik Bapodara, co-founder of Yotuh Energy.
The ₹1.53 crore investment will be directed towards product development, testing, and team expansion, enabling Yotuh Energy to strengthen its proprietary adaptive control technology. This technology is designed to optimize energy consumption and improve efficiency in cold chain logistics, addressing the industry’s need for sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
Commenting on the investment, Chandran Krishnan, Managing Director and CEO of Campus Angels Network, said, “We believe their electric refrigeration systems will revolutionise cold chain logistics, enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and offering substantial cost savings to the industry.”
Yotuh Energy has already garnered significant recognition and support from various government and private bodies. The startup has received grants and awards from the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Acumen, the Australian Council for International Research (ACIR), the IIT Madras Incubation Cell, and Daimler India Commercial Vehicles.
