HCLTech, a leading global technology company, has expanded its presence in Hyderabad by inauguring its new 320,000-square-foot global delivery centre. The state-of-the-art facility, located in the city’s Hi-Tech City, was officially opened today by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Sri Anumula Revanth Reddy, alongside Sri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Government of Telangana, and C. Vijayakumar, CEO & Managing Director of HCLTech.
Speaking at the inauguration, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasised Telangana’s rapid growth as a leading technology hub. “Telangana and Hyderabad are among the fastest-growing regions in India. Over the past year, we have received the highest investments and emerged as the nation’s leader in artificial intelligence adoption. Through the Telangana Rising initiative, we are committed to transforming Telangana into a trillion-dollar economy. With this world-class facility, HCLTech will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology from Telangana.”
IT Minister Sri D. Sridhar Babu highlighted the state’s ambitious growth strategy by echoing the Chief Minister’s sentiments.”Under the Telangana 2.0 Growth Vision, we are investing $15 billion to strengthen infrastructure, skilling, and innovation. Hyderabad continues to attract top global companies, and HCLTech’s expansion further reinforces the city’s reputation as a preferred destination for advanced technology and digital transformation.

The newly launched facility is HCLTech’s fifth in Hyderabad and will accommodate 5,000 employees. Designed with sustainability in mind, the centre has been awarded Gold Certification by the Indian Green Building Council. Since establishing its presence in Hyderabad in 2007, HCLTech has grown its workforce in the city to over 10,000 employees.
The government’s investment promotion efforts have further reinforced Telangana’s meteoric rise as a technology powerhouse. Chief Minister Reddy highlighted that his overseas visits had attracted investment commitments worth over ₹2.18 lakh crore, positioning Hyderabad in competition with global cities rather than domestic tech hubs.
Additionally, the state has been at the forefront of emerging sectors, including electric vehicles, green energy, life sciences, manufacturing, and data centres. IT Minister Sri D. Sridhar Babu also announced plans to launch a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Quantum Computing in partnership with a leading Swiss firm, further solidifying Telangana’s position as a leader in technological innovation.
