MyDesignation, the expressive fashion and lifestyle D2C brand, has successfully raised $1.25 million (₹10.7 Crores) in a Seed funding round led by Multiply Ventures, with additional participation from Veltis Capital, Sattva Ventures, Dominor Investment Holdings, and Green Trunk Ventures.
The newly secured capital will fuel MyDesignation’s next phase of growth, supporting hiring, technology enhancements, offline expansion, and entry into newer geographies.
Founded in 2020 by the husband-wife duo Swaroop Krishnan and Gopika B Raj, MyDesignation has demonstrated consistent and sustainable growth while maintaining profitability throughout its journey. The brand has cultivated a loyal customer base of over 5 lakh consumers, recorded a 35% monthly repeat rate, and now aims to double its user base within the year.
This funding will also help bolster MyDesignation’s customer-focused product development initiatives, backed by a thriving digital community of over 4 lakh followers on Instagram. The community actively participates in guiding product innovation, making MyDesignation a customer-co-created brand.
Swaroop Krishnan, Co-founder & CEO, MyDesignation, said,
“We’ve already achieved 100% YoY growth for four consecutive years while staying profitable. With this fundraise, our goal is to drive 200% growth, without compromising on our financial discipline or customer satisfaction. Our roadmap includes deepening our tech capabilities, expanding our offline footprint, and hiring mission-aligned talent. We’re grateful to our investors for backing our belief that fashion can be both creative and commercially sound.”
Adding to this, Gopika B Raj, Co-founder & CCO, MyDesignation, commented,
“We never depend on any third-party platforms or marketplaces for growth. This gives us control over the entire customer journey and has helped us deliver one of the best brand experiences in fashion. Our D2C model enables us to stay closer to customer sentiment and feedback, which fuels our product design and communication strategy.
We believe fashion is a voice, and we want to help every individual express who they are.
This fundraise is not just capital, it’s a validation of the kind of fashion movement we’re building from Kerala to the rest of the world.”
The funding round marks a significant milestone for MyDesignation, as it continues to emerge as one of the first fashion startups from a Tier-2 city — Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala — to successfully disrupt the national fashion landscape. The brand’s affordable-yet-luxurious fashion philosophy has resonated deeply with India’s youth, especially among consumers seeking identity-driven clothing.
Speaking on the investment, Sanjay Ramakrishnan, Founding Partner, Multiply Ventures, stated,
“The team’s journey of bootstrapping the brand over four years to its current standing is a story of grit, clarity on the opportunity, and very focused execution. As founders, Swaroop and Gopika have demonstrated remarkable financial discipline, a deep understanding of their consumers, and a brand-first mindset.”
Gokul Gopal, Founding Partner, Veltis Capital, also remarked,
“Their relatability with customers and customer orientation is outstanding. MyDesignation’s momentum is undeniable. They’ve gone beyond transactional commerce and built a lifestyle-led community that actively shapes the brand’s future. Their ability to maintain high customer satisfaction while scaling profitably is rare in today’s D2C space.”
