BluSmart Welcomes Rupa Devi Singh as Independent Director

BluSmart, South Asia’s premier all-electric ride-hailing service and EV charging network, announced the appointment of Ms. Rupa Devi Singh as an Independent Director. Ms. Singh brings decades of leadership experience in banking, finance, and infrastructure advisory. Her addition to the BluSmart board marks a significant step in BluSmart’s mission to revolutionize sustainable mobility and scale EV adoption across the region.

Ms. Singh has an impressive career in executive roles, including serving as Founder Managing Director & CEO at Power Exchange India Ltd. (PXIL). She has also been an Independent Director and Board-approved Non-Executive (Part-Time) Chairman at DCB Bank Ltd., and currently holds positions on the boards of companies such as JSW Energy and Aarti Industries Ltd.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Ms. Singh stated, “I am excited to join the BluSmart board at such a transformative time in its journey. I look forward to contributing to the company’s vision of revolutionizing sustainable urban mobility and driving impactful change in the EV ecosystem.”

With a background in science and law from the University of Delhi and as a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers, Ms. Singh has held various key leadership roles across sectors, making her a valuable addition to BluSmart’s board. She joins another independent director, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Wadhwa, former Chair and CEO of Azure Power Global Limited, in contributing to BluSmart’s strategy and governance.

BluSmart operates the largest all-electric ride-hailing fleet across South Asia, comprising nearly 8,000 electric vehicles, which have completed around 19 million trips and covered approximately 610 million clean kilometers. The company’s rapidly growing EV charging infrastructure now boasts over 5,000 chargers across 50 hubs, primarily in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru.
