GameEon Secures $1 Million in Latest Funding Round to Accelerate Game Development

GameEon, a Mumbai-based game development studio, has raised $1 million in its most recent funding round, marking a significant milestone for the company. The funding round was co-led by SucSEED Indovation Fund, ICE VC, Indian Angel Network (IAN), CD EQUIFINANCE, Nexus Global Opportunities Fund, Vivek Goel, Patni Family, and Tal64.

GameEon had previously raised $500,000, which was utilized for product prototyping and market testing. This initial capital allowed the company to conduct trials in 12 countries and gather valuable insights from over 5,000 gamers worldwide.

With the newly acquired funds, GameEon plans to accelerate the development of AA and AAA games for PC and console platforms. The studio will also focus on launching the early chapters of its highly anticipated game, Mumbai Gullies. This game is inspired by GTA Vice City and aims to combine game development with culturally rich storytelling.

Co-founded in 2021 by Nikhil Malankar and Kaustubh Jadhav, GameEon specializes in creating immersive and culturally significant experiences across PC, console, and mobile platforms. The company has previously developed games like Kites Mumbai and Box Cricket, and is now focused on Mumbai Gullies.

According to market research, the global gaming industry is on a rapid growth trajectory, with expectations to reach $300 billion by 2026. This surge highlights the increasing demand for innovative and engaging gaming experiences, aligning with GameEon’s vision of delivering culturally immersive storytelling through its games.
