Allu Arjun’s much-awaited film Pushpa 2 is dominating the global box office, crossing a significant milestone of over Rs 800 crore worldwide in just four days after its release. The movie, which was released on December 5, has shown no signs of slowing down, with trade reports suggesting it could easily surpass Rs 1,000 crore even before the end of its first week in theatres.
In India, the film has already grossed more than Rs 529 crore by December 8. This includes a remarkable Rs 10.65 crore earned from premiere shows on Day 0.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 picks up from where its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise (2021), left off, continuing the gripping tale of red sandalwood smuggling. Allu Arjun returns to his iconic role as Pushpa Raj, the red sandalwood smuggler, while Rashmika Mandanna reprises her role as Srivalli, his wife. Fahadh Faasil makes his debut in the Pushpa franchise as the formidable police officer, Bhanwar Singh Shekawat.
The movie also boasts a stellar ensemble cast featuring Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, and Anasuya Bharadwaj, among others.
Pushpa 2 was released across 10,000 screens worldwide in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, further extending its reach and appeal.
